21 Savage is a British rapper who has lived in the United States since childhood. He was born in London and moved to Atlanta, Georgia with his mother at the age of seven. He gained recognition for his collaborative EP with record producer Metro Boomin titled Savage Mode, which peaked at number 23 on the Billboard 200. He also gained further recognition for his guest appearance on Drake's single "Sneakin'". In January 2017, he signed a recording contract with Epic Records. His debut studio album, Issa Album, peaked at number two on the Billboard 200 and its lead single, "Bank Account", reached number 12 on the Hot 100. He released a collaborative album with fellow Georgia rapper Offset titled Without Warning in 2017, and had another hit guest feature with Post Malone's 2017 single "Rockstar". His second album, I Am > I Was, became his first U.S. number-one album and spawned the hit song "A Lot". He and Metro Boomin released a sequel to their breakout EP with Savage Mode II in 2020, which also debuted atop the Billboard 200 and spawned the U.S. top 10 singles "Runnin" and "Mr. Right Now" (featuring Drake). In 2022, he was featured on Drake's song "Jimmy Cooks" from his album Honestly, Nevermind. Later that year, he and Drake released their collaborative album Her Loss, which also debuted atop the Billboard 200.
